Crochet brim hat gauge in pattern?

Recommended Posts

Hi.I'am stuck on this pattern on this site http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/...t+Brim+Hat.htm. You need a pdf to view it.

What i don't get is when the gauge says 17 sts =4'' 13 rows=4'' in pattern with larger hook?:think

Does that mean you have to repeat the crown part rnds 2 and 3 and repeat that for 13 rows or more or do you repeat more than rnds 2 and 3?

I don't really get it.What does in pattern mean?:(

Could someone please help me understand this :blush

So i could go back to :crocheting. quote.gif

It has you using 2 different sizes of hooks in the pattern. For the gauge you would use the 4mm/G-6 hook.

Crochet Hooks: 3.75mm [uS F-5] and 4mm [uS G-6].

Yarn needle.

For the gauge swatch you just follow the pattern rnd for rnd but you only do about 5" worth of stitches and you complete at least through row 13 and then you measure it and see if it fits the gauge.

Hope this helps.
