about copyrights and selling

Recommended Posts

hi there

i have a few crochet things i made up and i would also like to sell. i have been told that it is better to have my stuff copy righted first so that no one will figure it out and then sue me for coying (their) idea. unless the stich work is too basic or somethinglike that. and another question is about e bay. how to price my stuff and is it better to deliver my things from my home address or use a post box office. i do feel that is more safe when dealing with the public.

On the surface of your post it seems that you've been mis informed somewhat. The moment that you write a pattern or create it is covered by copyright. You can register that copyright with the Copyright Office but that's really expsensive.

I wish you lots of luck with ebay. No one I know of has had much luck there.

There are tons of posts regarding copyrights. You could try using the search function and check them out.
