Lion Brand afghans

I've decided to make 2 afghans (his and hers) for a wedding gift from the Lion Brand website and wondered if any of you have ever made the 2 I chose and how they turned out...

 

Four and a Half Hour Afghan (for him)

Double-Strand Afghan (for her)

I have made the four and a half hour afghan before. I actually like making it. Although, keeping your tension and gauge correct while managing three strands of yarn and a Q hook takes a little practice. However, this afghan really does make up super fast. I would say the guy would like it cause the one I made was for my husband. Good luck with your gifts!

I made a charity ghan with LB Homespun. It was great, warm, soft. Worked up quick too.

Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to making these but now am a little worried about keeping the tension! I'm pretty new to crocheting and finally just made my first ghan with good tension...i'm still going for it though!! I will post pics when they are done!
