Beaded crochet markers

A while back on some blogs (now I can't remember) I saw some hand made crochet markers. I usually use safety pins but lately, the yarn has been getting caught in the fastener and the ring at the bottom. I would rather have some of the beautiful hand made ones and I would like to know how to make them. I went to Michaels and found the "clasp" style I wanted but was at a loss on how to get the beads on there and make them stay. Would anyone mind sharing how you make them or direct me to a website with the instructions?
