*** help with attaching to canvas totes ***

Hi

I am crocheting flowers and leaves and can not find any information on what is the best way to attach them to fabric, or canvas bags. I am trying to make some gifts for Christmas! I need some help on this. Also, would it be best to use cotton yarn? I am use to this type of yarn, since I learned how to crochet by doing dish cloths.

There are two options for attaching the crocheted flowers and leaves, the first would be to hand sew them and the second would be to hot glue them onto the canvas bags. It mostly depends on personal preference. Also you should take into consideration how often the canvas bag might need to be washed. I don't think the hot glue option would hold up to washing and drying. In most cases you could probably get away with spot cleaning/hand washing. What type of yarn is also personal preference. Cotton would work just fine. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice, I agree that hot glue might not be appropriate for the bag. The cotton yarn I use is Sugar and Cream, in fact have not used any other yarn that that! A newbie - that's me.
