HELP....Erika Knight "Simple Crochet"

I am away from home and working on the pillowcase edging as shown in her book. I have all 6 rows completed and on the last row where I single crochet 3, picot, single crochet 3 into the chain. Can someone look in your book as I forgot to get the "tips" on how she made her picot. I am going crazy even tho I have finished two pillowcases - except the last row. My picot does not look like her picot from her photos in the book. Thank you so much and next time I will bring the book along with me!!!
