Colorful Yarn Flower

I was looking for large(ish) yarn flowers to put up in my cubicle for the summer (gotta get rid of the Easter eggs!). Not finding anything I liked, I made up my own pattern. Hope you like it. :rose

I also made a "groovy" flower, more of the 60s/70s, "flower power" type. This is what that one looks like:

The basic idea is the same, but there are a few changes to make the base of the petals narrower.

These are great! I LOVE the rad flower! Can you share that one, too? I've been making purses lately and these would be great to embellish!

:ty for sharing your patterns. I really like the flowers. For some reason while looking at the second flower I keep wanting to say such things as "Groovy" and "Far Out." I guess I am reliving my teenage years. :rofl

Thanks so much for your pattern ! Its looking very pretty. I was just trying this out and ran into a problem more like a typo but would like you to clarify. In the first roundwith yellow you say to sc 12 and in the next we have spokes of chain 5 with sc on them . There is no skip so you should have 12 spokes right? but the picture only shows 6 petals? Am I understanding something wrong here? Please help.. I would love to do these..

Jayanthi

edited to add I was having a senior moment for not so senior person lol!!! Figured out!! the text was not aligned and I was missing the sc in next stitch after each spoke!!!! Thanks once again!
