Beyond the Square - Crochet Motifs

I joined last year. We are working our way through Jean Leinhauser's book, 101 Crochet Squares, and I got four of them done yesterday (I was way behind) and you can read about and see them here.

 

Your squares look very pretty. I thought about purchasing that book just for the butterfly square, but I see it's OOP and very expensive now. Maybe they'll reprint it. I didn't buy it before because of the guilt over my already huge collection of crochet books. Love the jonquil one, too.

I will begin working in early March. Here are my ruminations on joining and what kind of granny square I should use.

I am still behind in the 101 Crochet Squares croceht-a-long, but I am not further behind. One new square is assigned each week, so I have to do at least one to stay even. This week, I managed to make two, so I am catching up just a bit.
