First Knit Doily

This was my first attempt, and I am tickled with the way it turned out. Now the picture does not do it justice, because this hasn't been properly blocked yet. Just finger blocked. I am awaiting the arrival of a vintage 1948 doily stretcher I found on ebay to block it properly. I can't wait to start my next doily after finishing this one. I am not entirely pleased, because I still see many areas that need improvement, but for my first one, overall I think it turned out nicely.
