Erma' legacy

I wanted to post these pictures in memory of my friend and neighbor of the last 10 years. I have mentioned her here before, she was a gifted knitter (she crocheted as well, but preferred knitting). She passed away on March 23, and I wanted to show off this lovely piece of work in remembrance.

 

So here is Erma's bedspread. The pattern called raised leaf bedspread. It was published in Woman's Day Book of American Needlework, 1963. She stitched it in red heart baby sport pompadour pastel green and number 3 knitting needles.

The first pic is if the entire spread, the second is a close up detail. As you can see it is unfinished, and at this point it will remain that way (I don't have this amount of skill with knitting and don't know anyone who does)
