Padded ring stitch

crochetalot

Question

How do you make a padded ring stitch?

I understand to wrap the larger hook ten times, then you slip the stithes off and put them on the smaller hook, draw the thread through and make a single crochet, how do you make more single crochet stitches in the ring. I dont get it julie

Your first sc should be sitting on top of the ring with its legs holding on over the entire ring. your next stitch works by inserting your hook into the hole in the center of the ring (underneath the thickness of the 10 wraps), pull up a loop, then yo and work off 2 loops, now you have your second stitched worked "into the ring" or holding onto the thickness made of 10 wraps.

It is just like working into a chain loop ring for working in the round...http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/crocheting-in-circles.html

Does that help?
