Drawing, painting....

I've always wanted to be able to paint flowers. I decided to start decorating my letters with cheery blossoms. Added a few more pens to my quiver, and started using all those colored pencils I otherwise just look at it (and wish I'd use). Am really enjoying taking up something I've wanted to do for a long, long time. Who knows where it will go?

 

Crochet was one of those, too. It's nice to finally be doing things I've wished I could, and now, with some grey hair and crinkles around the eyes, it's happening. Takes a little courage, as it has, when I've started other new things later in life. It's a joy to create beauty and give it to others.

That sounds so neat. I wish I could draw or paint (my brother is the artist in our family, he does amazing drawings!). Our middle son is going to be an artist, though. He does some amazing drawings, too.
