Love knot shawl in interweaves mag??

I'm trying to make this shawl w/ the love knot but it uses a dbl base chain method I've never used before. The pattern says ch 135 but the dbl base chain uses 2 ch's at a time. My question is in my dbl base chain am I ending up with 3 chains from my 2 chains , or do I add 1 stitch at the end of all my base chains :th :thinking2 .

I'm working on the triangular shawl not a love knot.That was yesterday:oops :o :o

 

I got a solution though so not a problem.Just ignore me and I'll go take a nap. Duh
