I thought I should make a hat for the season downunder I am now working on a man's version per request of dh. He has a big head so wish me luck Cheers

Thank you Gardener. I mixed dk brown/beige wool with a deadish type brown acrylic and came out with a beautiful soft brown tweed.

Yes it is. That is how I do most of my work. I find if I work with patterns, I get bored or frustrated, I like to just experiment with different type yarns and see what I come up with. HOWEVER....I do a lot of frogging
