There are some gorgeous wedding afghans out there and some that aren't wedding but would look great as one. I have a few that I like. My favorite would be more for her. It is located here and is only 1.99.

For her? http://www.e-patternscentral.com/detail.html?prod_id=4209

The other two are free and are located here

For Him? http://www.coatsandclark.com/cgi-bin/MsmGo.exe?grab_id=497&page_id=12257024&query=LW1637&hiword=LW1637+'>http://www.coatsandclark.com/cgi-bin/MsmGo.exe?grab_id=497&page_id=12257024&query=LW1637&hiword=LW1637+

For both? http://www.coatsandclark.com/c gi-bin/MsmGo.exe?grab_id=497&page_id=15795968&query=wt1647&hiword=wt1647+

and then one more is located here http://www.freepatterns.com/list.html?cat_id=300 and is the lovers knot afghan.

They all work up really beautiful and you can use the white or off/white or got with the colors of the wedding.

Hope this helps

I've done 3 and 4 strand (Q hook) ghans using the couple's fave color or wedding colors, (as opposed to the 3SUB with random colors). they get a cozy 'ghan then. That said, I've also seen--but not made--a cute "cutwork" afghan, I think it was in an old CrochetWorld mag (maybe 2 years ago?)...that done in white would be fantastic. It is motifs, but I think it's "join as you go". something like that might be nice too. :)

blanket in the shape of a heart -link to someone who was looking for one. There is one in a catalog but also a doily that someone suggested you could make into an afghan. One lady said she made the heart afghan for a wedding gift.

My Heart Belongs to Baby (blankie)

This one is for a doll, but darksi gives the stitches so you could make it larger. It's rows of hearts. Very cute.

Or you could find heart squares if you want a portable project.

Hi Theresa!

The one Fritzerbear just posted would be nice for a wedding gift!

http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=96230

I found two lovely ones in my books:

In Herrschnerr's Blue Ribbon Afghans, the "Diamonds and Rings" one would be very symbolic....

In Best of Terry Kimbrough Afghans, the "Loving Hearts" one is beautiful. The border is hearts!

And the wedding ring quiltghan is great for a gift: http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/AfghansThrows/WT1647+Wedding+Ring+Quilt.htm

I also came across this thread and thought it might help: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=92210&highlight=wedding+afghan

This is not a picture of the one I made but rather a picture I found using google. I made this blanket in dark blue (the couple's favorite color) using a slightly brushed yarn. Contrary to how it looks, its not made in strips and sewn together. Its made in one piece lengthwise and not side to side. They loved it.

Its also from the book 'Best of Terry Kimbrough Afghans' Leisure Arts #3209

Its called Hearts Aplenty. Beautiful filet hearts with pretty zig zag top and bottom. That book has lots of amazing choices for a wedding gift.
