Hi Shannon. My name is Meredithe and I'm in Louisville. I am also new to chrocheting and to this website. This is my first post and I taught myself to crochet during the ice storm when my family were living with my in-laws because we had no power for one week.

 

I had previously bought a book at Joann's (I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting by Leisure Arts) and some yarn. I taught myself that week I was away from home. This book has instructions for left handers and I purchased the DVD that goes with the book and I think it gives over the instructions for both righties and lefties. I'm not 100% sure since I haven't watched it yet.
