Really beautiful! How did I miss this? Will the pattern be ready for our granny square swap (oh-so-subtle hint there--just kidding!)? Patty

Hi Patty,

Here's the link to the pattern. It's been in the Free Original Patterns section for about 9 days. I should have posted that the pattern was ready in this thread.

Have fun in the swap!! I was thinking about joining but don't want to get to much on my plate though and that's so very possible at this point in my life (regardless of the fact that my job is so up and down).

Thanks

Julee

If you look in the link I just provided it should have instructions for the "flat braid method of joining". That's where I learned how to do it. It's actually really fun.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for the link- this is exactly the kind of join I've been wanting to use for my afghan. :D

And I looooooove your square! Your sister is one lucky girl!

Very pretty, can't wait for the pattern.

Hi,

You should be able to find the pattern here. It's been posted in the free patterns section for a while now.

Thanks

:clap I like the rich, textural look, and haven't seen one quite like it before.

Thanks!! Me too!! When ever I design a square pattern for some reason I can't help but put alot of detail into it. It's just so much fun!!

Julee, it's beautiful!

I was getting ready to start an afghan for my sister who's moving to Montana tomorrow and couldn't find a pattern I liked so I made up this square and I've been making them ever since and using the flat braid method of joining. I really like how's it's looking. It's going to be 5 squares wide X 7 squares long (a checkered look) plus a border. Right now it's 40 inches wide (5 squares). The square measures up to about 7 3/4 inches but when crocheted to another square it adds a little.

Ok, Here it is.

I'll work on the pattern as soon as I can and post it in the free patterns section.

Thanks for looking!!
