I think this is a wonderful idea! I would join in but seeing as you have so many others already sending squares, I won't send one. I would like to submit this to be considered as part of the note to be sent to them.

 

 

Comfortghan

 

This yarn was put together with lots of love and prayer

to help you through this difficult time of despair

Wrap up in it's warmth when you need to cry

and start to heal from from the inside

Lots of ladies worked to bring you this

to feel close to the one you miss

We hope and pray that you find some comfort

in our part

And know that you are loved

We wish you peace with all our heart!

Would this square work? It's supposed to look like a jet plane. If so I'll decide what color to border it in. If you have too many that's fine too.

However if you have too many squares why not an afghan for Ella, Jett's little sister who must miss him horribly also?

I WOULD LOVE TO TAKE PART BUT WITH ALL THE YARN I HAVE--I DON'T HAVE THAT TYPE -- AND HAVE NO YARN SHOPS ANYWHERE CLOSE BY...( AND MY VAN DIED) :angry-I FEEL BAD--BUT I SUBMITTED THE POEM...:manyheart

I have one square made sofar. But I have a question....I used the site that was given earlier ( http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com...in_squares.php ) to find a pattern. Well it was the Corner in Block Shell Square that I made and it turned out to be 7 1/2 inches. Is this ok or should I make it alittle bigger. If it is stretched it reaches 8", but thought I better ask first.

Hi, everyone. I am new to Crochetville and wondered if I could send a square for the comfortghan. I am a nurse and work for 2 pediatric home care agencies and this also hits home as we almost lost a little guy I've been taking care of since '04. I always think how blessed I am to have 3 healthy children but on the other hand I am also very blessed that I get to be in the profession I'm in and take care of these wonderful children that have taught me so much. Please reply and I understand if I can't be involved being a new neighbor. Thank You and so happy to have found all of you. :hug

Hi, my yarn arrived this morning and Iam now ready to make as many squares as I can over the weekend so I can post them out to you on Monday, that way you should receive them in plenty of time.

Got one square done this morning. I used this pattern. :D I used CSS in a sunny yellow. I'm working on a 2nd one in knit. I thought I'd put a heart on it in duplicate stitch.

The idea of making the little sister a comfortghan is a good one. Hope you have enough squares for two ghans.
