Potholder of the Month Club 2009 *** December added***

Hi,

My friend Terri was the recipient of the "Coaster of the Month Club" in 2008. This Christmas I gave her a membership in the "Potholder of the Month Club" for 2009. - She's the only member.

Thanks Celia. It's a free pattern called Cygnus by Chris Simon. http://www.geocities.com/cdjsimon/cygnus.html

I used the first 7 rounds of the pattern to make the white square. Add one round of sc to even up the blocks. The Red square is just a dc block. ch 27, dc in the 4th ch and every one after for 11 rows.

sc the two together. make a loop .. ch 8, sl in corner to make the loop. sc 12 to cover loop.

Very easy and I'm happy with the result. BTW, I used Sugar N Cream cotton yarn.

I should tell you that last year Terri got coasters every month.

I didn't think to take pictures, sorry. But it was a fun gift to give.
