Having Fun and Getting it Done 2009 - 1st Quarter!!

econ-nerd

Recommended Posts

1) Finish Aimee’s Around the World Quilt-ghan FINISHED January 19th

2) Frog the crochet socks so I can use the yarn for something else FINISHED January 22nd

3) Make the yo-yo ghan (lots of yo-yos made…) FINISHED February 4th (gave them away)

4) Do something with the larger yo-yos that I bought online - there should be enough here to make a blanket of some sort FINISHED February 4th (gave them away)

5) Make something with the extra saltines I have left over from other projects FINISHED February 8th

6) Two-stranded V-stitch comfort-ghan (using the Lion Brand 5 1/2 hour throw pattern but with two strands and a 10mm hook) FINISHED February 14th

7) Finish my pink Seraphina FINISHED February 16th

8) Frog the test sweater and use the yarn for something else FINISHED February 18th

9) Two-stranded V-stitch comfort-ghan in royal blue and sky blue FINISHED March 8th

10) Do something with the little squares that I bought online - I keep trying to do something with these squares and after nearly three months of trying I surrender and am giving the squares away to someone else who will actually use them! FINISHED March 21st

11) Learn to Knit afghan for knitting practice (8 of 63 squares done)

12) Finish the green Terry Kimbrough baby blanket (the body is complete - the border needs to be done)

13) Finish pink boucle cardigan (back is partly done)

I need to put in a final push to see how much on the last two projects I can get done in the next week!

Let's go team - the first quarter is nearly complete! I'll start a new thread for quarter two on April 1st

wow--you got alot done, eco-nerd. I'm impressed. I do that this CAL haelped me to get a plan and pretty much stick to it. Few additions along the way and one put on the back burner, but I'll carry that one over. It's helped me keep organized going forward too. I've tried not to over commit as I've planned out the rest of the year.

Thanks for doing this!

Elise

This is my "Prayer and A Wing" blanket. I finished it yesterday (the scrap squares have been accumulating for about three years)

The squares are made from leftover yarn from prayer shawls I have made and I just had to "wing it" when it came to constructing the blanket. Hence the name.

This is also my first picture post!

I have a question... will we be doing Q2 on this thread, or do we need to start a new one?

I'll start a new thread later today or tomorrow so that it is all ready to go for the second quarter :yes We can make ourselves a new list and see what we get done in the next three months. I think I only have a few things that will carry over to the new list. I managed to get a whole pile crossed of my original list (and added quite a few items too :blush )

I added another item to my list :blush but I have managed to get it done up already so I can cross it off. My hubby's prof and wife are expecting a baby boy so I made them a baby nine block in blues and I got that finished up last week. Here's a picture of it:
