My Mohawk Hat

Just finished for DH-he requested it! A do-it-yourself copy (permitted) from one his friends's grandmother knitted.

That is so cool! I love it lol. My 10 yr old ds would love one of those. Do you have a pattern written up for it yet? Or an easy instruction on the basics of how you did it?

 

We going to be in a hospital for the next couple of days (the same ds is having surgery) & I might have to experiment with that type of hat while I'm watching him sleep.

I just made your basic hat-lots of them at CPC. I used a worsted weight for the hat and a super bulky for the hair-Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. Use your hook to pull strands through the fabric like you do with fringe. Start applying the hair at the crown of the hat to keep a straight line. I made four rows across.

Great hat! ! ! My 7yr old grandson would love one like that. He always wants his hair cut in a Mohawk but it never stays for him. Maybe I'll have to make one for him.
