here are my blankets ,heres hoping these pics work ok.

the purple and mauve one took me about a year to finish , i kept leaving it and then going back to it .

and the same goes for the other 2 as well , i tend to be out in the garden in the summer and then go back to the crocheting in the colder times

Beautiful!

I'm sure you'll enjoy using them! The purple one matches that room perfectly! :cheer

I've recently decided that I need to make myself a couple afghans next year! I started pulling out blankets when the weather cooled off and was unhappy with the assortment I found. I've never kept an afghan for myself....and I think it's time to make a few for me and my family!!

May, they are ALL very pretty, but the purple one (the first one) is just GORGEOUS! I REALLY love that one! Purple is my favorite color, has been since I was a kid, and when I saw that one I just gasped out loud! :manyheart

thank you , :D i am not very good at anything when it comes to neddlework, and those blankets are the only thing i have created , and i must admit it does give a feeling of satisfaction when they are completed.

that one on the bed has real come in useful this winter in Engand, the heating bills are going up all of the time and it is real cosy under there.:)

and the other 2 blankets me and hubby wrap round us on the settees on an evening while watching the telly .

i think i am now fully addicted to crocheting :clap

Very pretty - you must be patient! All those squares - all those ends - Bravo:cheer

they did take a long time it took about a year , but i do find it quite relaxing to sit and crochet, and they do crochet up quite quickly .

even though the purple one is large enough for a double bed , there are only 25 large squares in it and it really does not take that long to make a square.

but i did keep putting it away and then a couple of months later going back and doing some more squares , thats why it took a year to finish ,but i would think if a person was quick :crochetingand kept at it ,it would not take very long to finish.
