I found a new yarn (Lion homespun) and fell in love (with the yarn, not the price :(). Anywho, I found a pattern on their site for a ruffly scarf and thought "AHA!!!" (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70603AD.html?noImages=). So I made the red one according to the pattern for one niece—she's 9— and the purple one I reduced the length for my other niece—she's 4. I trimmed them in fun fur. I am going to make another short one in red/black for a friend's daughter and another red one (full size) trimmed in white and one in parfait (if I can find it) for me!!!

 

They were easy to make, worked up in a few hours, and the people at my MIL's work loved them! I am thinking I'll have to make several more for Christmas gifts!
