Love it! I need a simple hat pattern as I'd like to make some for the guys at the VA hospital.

This hat may be a bit more than you want for a quick project. The cuff at the bottom is made separate and has to be sewn on. Here is another one that you may want to check out. It is made in one piece of sc and crocheting in the back loop. You whip stitch the sides together and gather the top and presto-chango you have a hat that even most finicky/tradional guys like!

This is the first time he asked me to make him something and he's 29! When he was small, I made him a vest and a sweater. I should see if I can find the pictures somewhere. The music on my blog kind of makes me feel like dancing to! I noticed that you're from Illinois, that's where I lived (Joliet /Plainfield area) until I "grew up.":interest
