Snowman Afghan for MIL

Well I'm done the afghan for my mom-in-law! I haven't done a block afghan in years, but I didn't have the same frustration with the joining and weaving of ends as I used to. Either I'm aging gracefully or this board has helped a lot with suggestions and empathy! So thank you. Hopefully my mom-in-law will like it - she's a Christmas decoration addict but doesn't have any themed blankets...gasp!

 

The pattern is from Leisure Arts' "A Year of Afghans" 1996.

How funny is that. I looked at that afghan and said "huh, that looks awfully familiar". I just got that book of patterns from my grandmother, and thats one of the 'ghans I was eyeing up!
