Help changing poncho size??

I guess I need help posting a link to a pattern that I need help resizing??

Can anyone help me?

 

There's a poncho I've seen that I would love to resize to fit a 3 year old.

 

I'll be happy post the link or whatever to get help. It's the last Christmas present I wanted to make.

You should be able to just "copy" and "paste" the link in. If not, type in the exact name of the poncho and the site it's on and we can google to find the page.

The name of the poncho is Skye Poncho, by Janelle Schlossman. It's perfect for what I need and seems being the V stitch it will work up pretty quickly.

I looked through some of the other ponchos she has on her site and I would try one of those but I'm just not great at joining yet. I saw she has a V-Stitch child's poncho but it's two rectangles that are joined later. I think you could adapt it easily, but you'll probably need to do double crochet v-stitches instead of the treble crochet v-stitches as you're making this for a three-year-old. Your initial chain will want to be much smaller and simply do fewer repeats of the v-stitch between working the corners. Ponchos are definitely something you can "fudge" on!

 

I was going to post about Janelle's toddler poncho but I see you already found it.

 

If you're not confident in adapting the pattern yourself, maybe one of the ponchos at CPC will be better?

thanks Lauri, I'm just not very confident when it comes to changing patterns. But I'm going to try tonight by making the starting chain smaller and see how it goes. LOL

Hey again, well I ended up making the starting chain the same but using a much smaller hook. I did double instead of triple throughout and I think it turned out great. I forgot to take a pic before wrapping but I plan on taking a pic of her wearing it tomorrow when I give it to her. I'll post on the pic board. mrs who me too, I have one mroe crocheted gift to finish but thankfully my gift wont be given till after Christmas so I have a few extra days. *grin*
