Another Red Hat...

Since DD didn't like the Lacy Shells Hat and I discovered I enjoyed making hats, I made her another "Beginner Friendly Cap" with the "Cherry Red" RHSS I'd bought. This time instead of a flower she wanted leaves, I had no green yarn so when I went to Wal-mart I looked for some and couldn't decide on the right shade so I brought home two, she chose the "Hunter Green" and I returned the "Paddy Green". I'd never made leaves before but I figured the wonderful "net" would turn out a pattern for me, well, what I found was disappointing so I had to work on making my own which turned out better than what's available online for free (and she liked them, whew!), what do y'all think? The red looks "orangy" here due to too much light when I took the pic but it's really not like that...
