Sissie, this is the first year I participated and enjoyed making the 2 afghans I sent in. I'm working on another and will drop it off at the camp when I'm done. I got a couple of patterns to try out and have enjoyed making them. I appreciate the opportunity to have kept my hands busy and heart overjoyed while helping a wonderful organization.

now for the bad news:( this is going to be my only trip down for the year. i have a few things coming up this next half of the year and not going to be able to focus on getting together another 100 blankets.

for those of you that do still want to add to this delivery if you get your blankets to me by the week that I am going I will be more than happy to take a picture and add to our count. after we go you can still make if you want to and just mail to the camp.

 

Sorry guys If this is causing any problems for anyone, For I do so really care about all you have done to help with this charity and helping us to reach our goal! and for those of you that followed me over from last year as well. you all mean alot to me!

 

maybe if i am up to it we might try another Charity challenge for 2010. we will see:manyheart

 

 

 

 

Sissie, we are so glad that you 'hosted' this for the first part of the year, it can't possibly cause problems for anyone; there are other charities to send blankets that we finish later. I will be heading over to Sandy's this weekend as my daughter and her family are up here visiting and we are going over to spend the day:)

we were to be going down to the Camp this weekend but Life happened and sandy is not able to go. so I planned on the July 4th weekend but they are closed that weekend. I am now thinking I will just take a day in the next week or so and just go down and come back in the same day!

Sorry guys i have been kinda out of it here over the pass couple of weeks.

I have had my daughter, her hubby and two grandbabies in! for got what it was like to have a year old and 4 year old in my home LOL

Yes babe I believe I did. and am so sorry for not posting. I am waiting on sandy to get home and will call her to see if she has taken a picture of it yet.

as you can tell I did not make it down to the Camp this holiday weekend as they are closed! so now on to a new trip plan:))

 

My husbands family live near by there and so we are planning on going down in 2 weeks. I have already told him we go or I go alone!! We promised these blankets back over a month ago and I am stressing now so it is time to take matters into my own hands!! LOL

 

I have finished the squares that Ghost sent me into a blanket and also have the squares into a blanket that Aurora sent to me. so two more to our count.

also Sunshine Ida emailed me to let me know that she has shipped 5 more and should be here the first of the week:cheer:cheer we are now over our 100 mark!!

 

I am starting on the 2 sets of squares that Pineknott sent me tonight. and after that if sandy has not gotten the 12" squares put together that she still has over there I will go get them and finish them.

I am so hoping and working hard to get these ALL finished to be able to deliver all together!

 

If you have sent to me and not seen anything about it will you PLEASE let me know as i do not want to over look anyone that as taken their time to help to be left out!
