Can anyone suggest a pattern?

Can anyone suggest a pattern using Lustersheen (sports weights thin cotton) and a larger steel hook for a first pattern doily/runner.

 

I would love to try thread, but the size 7 steel and #10 cotton is making my eyes cross.

deneen, the lustersheen is like a size 3 thread, it makes a nice doily, a little thicker than most, but if ya have a hard time dealing with the smaller threads then this is perfect for you. i just finished another shawl made out of lustersheen. need to grab the camera and take pictures of the stuff. been a lonnnng week already, but finally got my computer back so should be able to post pictures soon. :cheer :cheer good luck, let me know how it turned out k? vicki

deneen .. all i do is pick a doily i like .. then just use th ebigger yarn .. it turns out larger of course but just as nice i think

 

the red one i did was done with a size 3.. turned out nice i think
