'Fork Flower' (pom-pom or dandilion) earings

I made some 'fork flowers' today following the directions by Lisa Naskrent [at: <a href="http://www.crochetgarden.com/crochetblog/?p=74">www.crochetgarden.com/crochetblog/?p=74</a>] then attached them up to some repurposed earrings.

I was a GS leader from the time my daughter was in the 2nd grade until she quit GS in the 11th grade. In all that time, I never heard of fork flowers or saw anyone making them. Boy, my girls would have loved doing them.

So I decided to try this just now, and I live in a house with 3 guys (my hubby, his father and younger brother) and also his mom. As I was sitting there wrapping the yarn around the fork my loving hubby and his dad were laughing at me and making jokes about me "eating yarn now." I showed them the out come but, being men, they didn't get it:oops. His mom thought it was darling though.
