? about Opera thread

I saw on one site they said Opera crochet thread was going to be discontinued. Has anyone else heard this and is it true. I was looking for some for a friend.

You are correct, They are discontinuing the Opera thread. I was on the Lisa's Yarn and Thread website yesterday and they still have some. On the Opera thread page it tells about them discontinuing the thread. You can go to the website here.

 

I found this website through another post here on the 'ville and was amazed at their prices. They are the cheapest I have seen and the shipping costs are very reasonable. I have never ordered from them but I am sure other 'ville members have.

Coats Opera was the last good quality size 5 thread. This is disappointing news.

That's the site I read it on and got to wondering. It isn't stated anywhere else I can find, but that doesn't mean anything. I hope it isn't true also.
