Blog Button - ???

I've just made a button for my blog, but what is the protocol?

 

Do people just snag buttons as they see them and put them on their own blog?

 

I'm willing to trade buttons, or whatever it is we're supposed to do.

I think you need to specify that on your blog what your preferences are. Of course some may not want theirs on yours or even have one (I don't) or may want just yours, so you can trade a button for just a link with their name on it to put somewhere on your blog.

Since there's so much talk about making buttons here, I thought there might be a protocol for trading, but I guess not.

 

Doesn't seem worth the time to make one if no one trades, then (or there's no list anywhere to trade/snag).
