My son kept putting different toys on his head and saying "hat" so I figured it was time to make him a hat! I chose this free pattern, Boy's Crocheted Hat from Marty Miller. I used Red Heart Blue Camo yarn and an I hook. I think it turned out great! Blogged here.

 

I'd like to make this again for myself, maybe using a solid color to show off the ridges. Very cute pattern.
