How to Approach Stores

Recommended Posts

Many of my local yarn stores offer knitting classes, but not crochet. I'd like to approach them and offer to teach crochet classes. What have people found to be the best approach - to talk to the manager in person or to send a letter? I see pros and cons of both - it's hard during business hours, they are busy serving customers. But the personal approach seems better; a letter might be ignored or seen as junk mail. What has been people's experience?

I just talked to the owners of the local yarn stores around here as I shopped, to see what they did and were interested in. One already teaches crochet classes (though I didn't know that then) and the other said she was interested, but you could tell she was just being polite...

I say chit-chat with them and see from there!
