ooooh, pretty!! Great job I just wanna touch them, and I HATE wearing socks! Naked feeties all the way ...but winter is coming. Do they fit snug?? I wanted to try to make some for family for Christmas but Im afraid they would stretch out too fast.

They actually are a big too big BUt they stay up!!!! and feel wonderful...people have often told that once you start wearing handmade socks....you'll never go back....and they are right!!!!

 

The yarn I used was a cheap sock yarn from our chain store - Lincraft (australia). I wanted to try out the pattern before I used a more pricey yarn. It is a combo of wool / nylon........now I know what you are going to say......can't wear wool...hot & ichy BUT they really are fabulous!!! I only wore thin - cotton socks but these are great......better for winter months!!!

Oh BTW: They are a self stripeing yarn....the pattern is designed for this type of yarn so you keep the stripes!!!
