American Flag Afghan

I made this blanket for my husband who is currently deployed to the sandbox. I think I might edge it in gold but havent decided yet.

I used the All American pattern in the Leisure Arts Our Best Afghans A to Z.

It's beautiful just the way it is, but trimmed in gold would be beautiful, too. I love the pattern you chose.

I think it is beautiful either way. I am working on a ripple flag right now for FIL for christmas. IT has the circle of 13 stars on it. I can't wait to get it finished.

I like it without gold, I've never been a fan of gold tasselly trim on flags but thats just me.

I made the same pattern, but in thread. Have it hanging in our store. Had a guy want to buy it for his wife and I told him that he didn't have enough money to buy it. Making all of the stars and sewing in the ends was a real PAIN!!

After I made the US flag decided that we also need the Texas flag!!!
