Hot Pad from 1949 Workbasket Magazine.

I finished this hotpad the over night. I remember there being a CAL here

sometime ago and had wanted to make it. Then I came upon the pattern in the Sept 1949 issue of Workbasket magazine. When I saw it, I knew it was time to crochet it. I made this one in Paton's Grace thread and it measures about 7" (17.75cm). I also made a coaster and another hotpad out of size 10 thread but have already given them away. Like everyone says, these are fun to make and can be addicting. LOL

Lovely hotpad! Don't you just love making things that you know women decades ago made before us? I do. It makes me feel connected to a very long link (or thread actually) of crocheting women. It's a wonderful feeling....
