I haven't gotten very far on this shawl yet but I thought I would post a picture to show you a bit of the design. I am now on row 14. This is a pic of rows 1 through 11.

Tammy--Nice work!! I'm through row 26 now, and I'm thinking it will go quickly the rest of the way. But my DH would like a clean house, so off I go to clean the bathroom, etc. Y'all have a good day!!

Done!! It turned out great and off to the post office to snail-mail to sis! I tried to prop it on the dresser with a white blanket, I know the edges are cut off in the picture but not in real-life...lol!

Susan--How beautiful!! I love that color.

I'm through row 30 now. Can't wait to see mine completed now!

Lynn said she thought this shawl would be great in white for a bride, and that she might work one up and put it away for her daughter--I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Off to do 4 more rows...

Wow Susan!!! I love the color you chose. It really shows off the pattern well. Great job. I am falling way behind. I haven't been feeling too well the past few days but doing better today so I hope to crank out a few more rows tonight. The good news is that I did finish off 2 blankets for FARA. Woo Hoo.

Late to the CAL, but I'd like to participate. This shawl is one of my favorite's of all time to do. My first time doing this shawl was last January for a CAL and I gave it to a friend of mine. I've done two others since then, both modified, one with a cross in the big heart and one with a ribbon in the big heart. The ribbon one I did for my sister for her Think Pink for the cure party.

Here are some pics of the ones that I've done:

and the original pattern with the hearts

The one I plan on starting on Monday will be the one with the cross, in a light blue. It will be for a friend's mother that was just diagnosed with an incurable cancer. Her favorite color is blue.

Oh, and Hi Yvonne. :D

Terri...those are beautiful! You are so talented, I would/could never think to move the pattern around like that.

Yvonne...the pink really shows the pattern! I like it very much! It makes we want to do another one in a lighter color.

Thanks, smith. I just love the pattern so much, I wanted to adjust it for some of my friends and family in their current needs to make it just a little more special for them. I really love the original pattern though as well, it is just beautiful.

Welcome Terri!!

Yvonne: Yours is looking very nice in pink! Good job. I just managed yesterday to write out the first 10 rows of the pattern, thinking I needed to send it to you. Good to know that you are beyond that and doing good!

I'm still at row 40. I won't have another chance to work on this until Saturday night, when I hope to finish!!

Guess what?!?! I'm through with the chart and started edging. Yay!! Will post pics when I'm officially done.

The shawl is not quite as big as I'd like it to be, so I'm planning on adding rows to the edging. We'll see how that works out...
