Feel free to make this and sell it or donate it, but please don't sell the pattern. But you can share the pattern! Just leave my name on it :) just because I am all proud of myself

If there is anything wrong with the pattern please PM me and I will take care of it. I have not had this tested, But I have made it twice and each time it came out the same!

I have never made a pattern so I hope I do ok and you understand it all.

Pattern made for a size 4/5 (crocheted loose) but I crochet tightly and I made a point to crochet loosely. so there is no gauge.. just use your judgment. The dress took me about 6 hours to make, 3 hours one day and 3 the next. The smaller one I made took 3/4 hours to make.

I used Bernat Cottontots. Just half a skein of blue, 1 skein of pink and a little white. But any WW would do, the cottontots made this super soft.

I hook (12 mos)

J hook (2/3)

K hook (4/5)

I didn't check the gauge on this, I crochet very tightly so I made a point of crocheting very loosely.

Neck/bodice

with white , Ch 47 Loosely dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 5 sts. * 3 dc in

next st (corner made). dc in next 6 sts, Corner , dc

in next 18 sts , Corner, dc in next

6 sts, Corner, dc in remaining sts to end. ch 3, turn

on each row.

Repeat row one 6 times (maybe less for smaller child) Just use your judgement.

Armholes

Dc in each stitch to first Corner, DC in middle stitch of corner, ch 10

DC in middle of next corner (leaving all stitches inbetween unworked)

Dc in each stitch to next corner, dc in middle stitch of corner, ch 10

DC in middle of next corner, (leaving all stitches in between unworked)

DC to end of row. Slip stitch to join to other side.

Working in rounds now.

(this is wear I joined blue color)

Ch 3 Dc in each stitch around. including the ch10 for armholes. to end, join

Ch 1 two sc in each dc around, Join

Skirt (join new color i used pink)

Row 1-

Ch 4, 3dc in same st, skip 2 sts, sc in next st, ch3, 3dc in same st.

repeat this. *sc, ch 3, 3dc in same stitch, skip 2 sts* all the way around

sc in last stitch. Ch 3 turn.

Row 2

3 dc in sc of last row, sc in next ch3 space, ch 3, 3dc in same space

do this in all ch 3 spaces (sc,ch3 3dc) ending with sc in last ch3.

Ch4 turn.

For a Full skirt repeat this row until skirt is long enough.

For a Tulip look (skirt is full then gets a little tighter) taking on the shape of a tulip or bell shape)

I followed row 2 for 10 rows, and tied on blue color, and then :

3dc in sc of last row, sc in next ch3, ch 3, 3dc in same stitch, sc in next Ch3, (DO NOT ch3 3dc) just Sc,

So follow normal pattern except every other ch3 just put 1 sc in it.

Until desired length ( I think I did a total of 25 rows)

For the edge I tied on the white and did 3 rows of the pattern from row 2 of the skirt, tied off, did 3 more rows of Pink, then 3 rows of blue, tied off and weaved in ends.

I sc around the arms with blue, the collar with pink, At the one edge of the neck I ch 3 and slip stitched in the same space to make button hole.

And thats about it!

I hope I explained it alright! If not please let me know!!!

Absolutely adorable! If I weren't so busy getting the kids ready for the first day of school I would have crocheted it for DD for her first day in Pre K. Sadly there just isnt enough time.:(
