how can we have all these Aussies and only 13 have answered my poll?? :lolhttp://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36038 c'mon lass's! It's anon, no one can tell who answers what so even if you're not wanting to give out that you live in Aus you can answer this safely.

Anyways... besides crochetaustralia.com.au does any one know where I can buy size 10 thread online? i live in the middle of no where so saying Spotlight isn't very helpful :D I'd really like Aunt Lydias or DMC but crochetaustralia.com.au stocks neither!!

I have ordered some fantastic thread from the Phillipines. There are two suppliers, Mimi and jacki (members of the ville) who are both very reasonable, have a great range and so quick. I will go and find their addresses and post back.

Thanks cupcake I have seen both the gals pages before, and also seen you post many a time how much you love their stuff. All their prices (inc shipping) are in US$. Can you give me any idea what it's like in AUD$

There's almost enough of us Aussies to take over Crochetville! :lol Add another one in Qld! Chandilli, where are you, as I also live about 35 mins out of Ipswich - near the Wivenhoe Dam (such as it is :D ) An easy way to check if a pattern is Aussie/UK or American, see if it says sc (single crochet). If it does, it's American! Beats tearing out stitches & your hair! Mind you, this only works if single/double crochet is used! ;)

Hi All,

Im from Karingal in Melbourne. (Halfway between Cranbourne and Frankston)

It is great to know that there are so many other Aussies here too. Isn't this place the greatest? (A warning to you all: This place is VERY, VERY, VERY adictive. And I haven't even been here that long.)

It's really lovely to see so many ozzies on the boards.

We really need more people from Oz to crochet......what do you think???

See you around :hug:waving

I'm sure there's no one else from WA - especially no one down my way (3.5 hours from Perth). I'd love to be able to catch up with people, sit and crochet, and get advice and gossip. In the mean time, this forum is the next best thing. It's just reassuring that there are any aussies at all!

Hey angry snail, how did you get your name?

Don't be too sure :lol and I am even further South than you, almost as far south as one can go in WA.

:lol Janine I beat you both at the moment, Norseman being 200km south of Kalgoorlie, 200km north of Esperance. Until we get someone above Geraldton I think I will remain the most distant lol

Pity there isn't a forum like this in Oz - ah well, we have made an impact here, from what I have been able to see so far!! So much to look at!!

Hmm - I think I'm the challenger for the title of most remote - I'm alternating between the Brocks Creek Gold Mines, Ranger and Darwin!

Anyone else in the Top End???

Please?!?!?!?

Hi! I only joined this site last week and already love it.

I am from a small country town in Northern NSW - Old Bonalbo.

We have only two small blocks with a school, church (services once a month) and a shop/post office.

I love the country life except for when I am doing a project and I have to wait for Mum to go to Casino or Lismore (they are 1 1/2 and 2 hours away respectively). Luckily we are going to Casino on Tuesday for Mum's physio, so "Norma's" here I come.

Hi,

I am officially an American, but serving a life sentence here in Oz ;') my husband being originally a Canberran, but now a Sydneysider.

I live in Naremburn (near Crows Nest, Chatswood, Artarmon and Willoughby on the Lower North Shore of Sydney) and would love to be involved in any Sydney area meetups :').
