clothes for bigger young girls

Question

Looking for a pattern for my granddaughter who is size twelve girls but she is a bit chubby now. Are there patterns that can be made larger yet still fit the porportions of a young girl? Any ideas on how to enlarge a pattern? I want to make her a sweater. I have the yarn already in a fuzzy eyelash type yarn by yarn bee. Was going to pair it with baby yarn to make it easier to crochet. I had started on the bernat pink cameo hoodie but she would be too big for that at size twelve. I was going by her age, ten. Can't get to the yarn right now, will tommarro, to tell you the name.

Hi...here is a link to a BASIC GUIDELINE MAKING A SWEATER...its terrific because you dont need a gauge and you can make it to fit the size you need..good luck and best wishes.:crocheting

Thank you. The raglan is the one I would like to make but it looks more difficult. There is a girl at church about her size, I know her grandma pretty well. I could get measurments from her. I don't want to let on about the sweater. The yarn is lucious by yarn bee in bubble gum and I just ordered six more skeins in the same color hope they match ok.
