I have a hard time with thread. I do fine with doilies that are worked rather tight with many stitches. I totally get off gauge when there are a lot of chains involved. Any tips?

Good lord, I can't even imagine attempting that one lol

 

Some people have suggested threading your well, thread through a ring on your finger to help with the tension, maybe that would help with your chains too?

actually it really isn't as hard as it looks. thats one of the patterns i am hoping to make this year. maybe in time for the fair, if i do i will take pictures and show ya all:lol vicki

It seems like I remember seeing that pattern worked up in someone's album here on C'ville...can't seem to remember who though, but it is beautiful!

I can't imagine making something like that - I'm not a threadie - but a friend of my grandmother's made that one. Very pretty.
