How big do you make a Comfort Ghan?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on what size or sizes would be the best for the afghans going to 11 families who lost there homes in a wild fire last week. I'm really new at this so I have :thinkNO IDEA:eek .

I have found that if you use 12" squares, 12 or 15 squares makes a nice size comfyghan.

Oh, Ok Chris!! That seems to be the consensus!! That's what I'll probably do then!! 12-15 squares plus a couple inches in border should make a decent comfortghan (I think)!!

I found for a single sized bed it is 3x6 12" squares. With the edging it will be just right.

Ok, wow, alot of different sizes!! I guess I'll kinda have to go by how many squares I recieve too!!
