"In A Clutch" Crutch Caddy

I'm currently on crutches, awaiting a knee replacement. It's been difficult trying to carry things as I'm moving about at work, so I made this little caddy that attaches to my crutch. It's handy for carrying mail and such, bringing my yogurt from the refrigerator back to my desk for breakfast and I've even carried a small water bottle in it. Hope you like it.

for extra storage you can wear an apron with pockets too.

That is really a great idea, and if you have a pattern for it I'd love to make something like it. My son gets put up in a wheelchair that isn't a conventional one, so I can't use a bag on the back, but this would be perfect to stick a few tissues, his sunglasses and a cell phone when he's taken outside. It's a pain to schlep a purse and push his chair, and my mom, 84, is currently his main visitor as I attend to DH, DD and our house in another state.

That's such a cool idea! I'm so glad it worked out. It's really great looking and I'm sure very handy. I'm sure you'll be able to find other uses for it once you're off the crutches.
