Comfortghan for my DD

We're getting ready to move and my DD is taking it really hard

 

She is really sad since she has to leave her friends and her school and I would like to cheer her up. I can't help but to feel bad for uprooting her.

 

So, I was wondering if there were some people who would want to make some 6" squares for a comfortghan? I think it would really cheer her up to have something special or her new room.

 

She's almost 9 and a girly-girl. Her room is done in light pink & white, with some magenta, lavender, light lime green, and soft yellow accents.

 

I figure I'll trim them in white.

Where and when are you moving? (so nosy, please forgive me!) It's a difficult age to be uprooted, we moved from the centre of town to the middle of nowhere when I was just a little bit older.

We are moving in just under 2 weeks. I hink it really hitting her now that we are packing everything up and since school let out 2 weeks ago.

 

We live in the city now and we're moving 15 miles to the country. And, while 15 miles might not seem far to some, with gas being the price it is, we will only go into own once a week to do grocery shopping.

 

I'm going to use Red Heart. I figure it is the easiest yarn for everyone to find.

I would like to get it done as soon as I can get enough squares. School starts back up in mid-August and I would like to have it done before then.

 

As long as squares are sent USPS the will get forwarded to the new house, or if we've already moved I can have them sent to the new house.
