LB Landscapes

Has anyone tried felting with Landscapes yarn. I saw a pattern for a purse on Joann's site. It said to felt it.

I have several skeins of this and was wondering the same thing. The label says that it is "self-felting".

hmm...wonder how it really does felt up though if it is 50% acrylic?

Because it says that the core is 50:% acrylic and the acrylic is encased in the wool. So the wool felts.

i'm trying it right now... the wool felts and it does shrink a little, but not like 100% wool...

I've used LB Landscapes to felt with - it does not felt as much as regular 100% wool. And it has a kind of pebble texture to it. When I use it in the body of a bag (like for a stripe), I usually do a dc stitch with the Landscapes so that when it felts is more closely matches how much the the hdc stitch with the regular wool yarn felts.

Here's a picture a bag where I used the Landscapes for the top several rows and it created a natural ruffle around the top because it didn't felt as much as the regular 100% wool. I also used it for the handle.
