Question

Need some more advice on how to keep the end of my rows straight.

I'm working on a prayer shawl with the pattern of a row of single crochet and 3 rows of double crochet. My row ending is still a little uneven....on sc rows do I put the last sc in the last stitich and on dc the last stitch in the top of the ch-3? My work looks uneven....so where do you work the last stitch when using different stitches in one pattern? :P

Sometimes I have that problem depending on the yarn I'm using, the hook size, etc. If the unevenness (is that a word :)) ?) is in the place where you're working into the ch3 of the dc rows, you might try, instead of doing a ch3 as your first dc of the row, ch2 and then dc in the same space, then work into the dc and ignore the ch2. Worth a try to see if it makes it come out better.

Other than that, sometimes I find that using one size smaller hook helps, but then you'd have to adjust the pattern to get the same size shawl...
