Ceramic Tiles

I took a beginning ceramics class this spring. Er...most of my projects had unfortunate accidents (although I tried to salvage them as best I could!) These tiles turned out great though, and I just have to show them off.

This first link shows the tiles before they were bisque fired.

This link shows the tiles after they've been glaze fired.

I plan to hang them in my craft room once I get it set up. Oh, and if you're interested in seeing my other ceramic projects (or crochet projects) check out the archives on my blog. Thanks! :)

Very nice! That otter is so very cute! You've got some talent there.

I took a ceramic tile course with my mother a handful of years ago. We had a lot of fun. I made several, but one actually resides in my dinning room and I'm so very happy about it.

(I just loved playing with the clay and experimenting.... some were much better than others.)

Thanks! :)

For some reason I seemed to work better on the flat surface than I did with the curved vessel forms. Working with clay is like any other hobby though...takes practice! I might take another ceramics class in the future. I may try working with polymer clay and see what sort of items I can design. Looks like it'd be fun. Plus, I won't have to worry about glazing. :P
