Homespun Afghan

labcrazyland

Question

OK, I am trying my hand at Homespun for the first time, and making the 4 1/1 hr afghan pattern that is on cpc.com. I count my stitches evry couple rows to make sure I am not missing anything. After the first row it is really pretty easy!!!!

My question is this . . . It looks like it may need blocked a little when done, is this normal for homespun? I know I am not the best crocheter, so my tension is prob not consistent. Also, I did the beginning chain like it said, but it is about 6 inches shorter than it says it should be??? Did I maybe chain to tightly? Not sure????

OK, it makes me feel sooo much better to hear an "accomplished" person say that! :D!

I am kinda glad it's not real big, as I want to make it for a friend that's in chemo now. I thought maybe she could use a comfort ghan, and this way it will be more of a lap-ghan!

Thanks Elizabeth!
