Steel crochet hooks

I have inhereted some steel crochet hooks, the problem is that I don´t know exactly how big they are (I´m used to metric sizes), so I hope you may be able to help me.

The ones I´m having trouble with are:

Three from Milwards: The hooks says 2, 5, and 10.

One from IMRA, which says 7.

Two from Fixpin (made in sweden) both says 14 (very, very thin).

Then I have one that have a reindeer- head or something on it, this says 7.

And at last one which doesn´t say anything unfortuanally, it has a wooden handle, and steel hook. Not information about which fabric that made it or which size it is.

I guess I can´t get any help about the latter one, but I hope you may be able to help withe the other hooks :U

If you go to the Library section of the Crochetville Forum and look under reference you will find a link for crochet hook sizes. This chart will tell you the metric equivalents of the hooks you have inherited.

Hope this helps out.:hook

Daydreamer girl,

Sorry, I did not realize these were european made hooks. I have found a couple of websites with some conversions. I hope these can help you further.

The first is: http://www.geocities.com/nornsneedlework/crochet/hookchart.htm

Another for the milwards is:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070908224942AAXC70G

It seems that the Milwards were originally manufactured in the U.K.. I wonder if the others were also?

Good Luck,
